Whispers by Light Society
23 Aug to 08 Sep
10am – 7pm (extended till 10pm from 25 - 28 Aug, and 12mn over festival weekends)
National Museum of Singapore, Gallery Theatre
Synthesising elements from ancient and contemporary practices, Whispers is conceived as both a supernatural experience and a mind-and-body training session, exploring the boundaries of elemental sensation. Executed to dramatic effect on a large scale, the piece enacts a sense of natural spectacle that simultaneously draws upon the notion of ritual. The immersive wind therapy session evolves from a mesmerising hypnotic build to an overwhelming amplitude of strength, combining forces both subtle and powerful to evoke an experience that touches the sublime. Whispers exists in the space between fear and enchantment, invoking the power of the invisible.
About the artist

Conceived as a series of extended experiments across a diverse range of media - including sculpture, installations, video and performance - their work seeks to generate meaningful engagements with altered states of consciousness, perception and the magic of the everyday.
