S.C.U.L.P.T by Yann Nguema; assisted by Arnaud Doucet
First presented in France, S.C.U.L.P.T has been fully redesigned for its debut international showing in Singapore. Tailored to fit every square centimetre of the Armenian Church’s centuries-old chevet, this artwork is the perfect marriage of projection mapping and interactivity, allowing visitors to manipulate its form and appearance with simple laser beams. Accompanied with a soundscape composed by EZ3kiel, S.C.U.L.P.T immerses visitors into a personal world of art and technology.

About the artist
Born into a family with scientific backgrounds, musician Yann Nguema integrates computer technology into his creative process by developing his own software, and adding a completely interactive dimension to his productions. He founded the group EZ3kiel in 1992, developing works with rich visuals that go on to become iconic to its identity, and a reference for future generations of artists.
As a solo artist, Yann focuses his work mainly on performing arts with a constant emphasis on an image-music association. He has designed numerous projects combining technology, research and poetry. Yann is currently an ambassador artist for the Lyon Festival of Lights.
