How can we experience the "digital" in today’s Smart Nation? Pulse explores the connection between physical and digital experiences. It is a reflective work on the influence of technology on our society and daily life. Interact with colourful visualisations which are generated via sound and music in this immersive experience that reflects on the influence of digital technology and media in today’s society.
About the artist
Pulse is a collaboration between creatives from various fields including:-
Galina Mihaleva - an associate professor in Design Art at the School of Art, Design and Media (ADM), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), with her interest in arts and fashion.
Hedren Sum - a digital humanities project manager at NTU Institute of Science and Technology for Humanity (NISTH) and currently a PhD student at ADM, and who constantly looks at the impact of technology on society through his various projects.
Vibeke Sorensen - an artist, composer, and professor at ADM working in digital multimedia and animation, stereography, interactive architectural installation, and networked visual music performance.
Brandon Leo - a local experimental music artist in Singapore and part of the musical groups, Sky 2 and Kin Collective.
Nagaraju Thummanapalli - a computer scientist at ADM who explores new approaches and methods in the intersections of science, art, design, engineering and the humanities.
